Why a hexagon
Bees build in hexagons because it's the shape that holds the most space with the least wax: every wall is shared by two cells. It felt like the best picture of a home that works. Nobody carries every wall; each one is shared by two.
Favokin, the family hive
A short name that sounds the same in lots of languages and says what the app is: a home that works like a honeycomb.

Family, your people. The ones you share a home and a surname with, or just a home.

Three cells and a name
The symbol is three honeycomb cells. Each one means something:
Your cell
Honey: what you put in.
Your partner's
Lavender: what the other person puts in.
Everyone's
The bottom one fills with honey from what you do together.
And the points?
The app started life in Spain as Matripuntos, and in Spanish that's still what the points are called. In the app they're shortened to MP, next to a little hexagon. In English, they're just points.
Warm, close, hard-working and sweet
Favokin talks like a family member keeping score with affection. There's a little competition, but nobody loses anything by falling behind.
